Quilts, by Jane Weaver

Weaver, a resident of Weaverville, creates works based on geometric designs, particularly the circle and spiral. She freelances, teaches cello, piano and violin from her studio, and fiddles with the contra dance band, Reel Magnolias. She developed an early interest in this art form while playing under her grandmother's quilt frame as a child in Indiana.
After earning a degree in mathematics, Weaver began to experiment with new expressions and geometries in quilting.
Weaver’s complex geometric forms require disciplined and precise matching of fabric.

12 pieced quilts on view from March 2-30.

Opening reception held from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, in the gallery.
