3-4	moto003 moto004	Motor Road to Chimney Rock [photogrpah]. Chimney Rock, in Hickory Nut Gap, is justifiably a far-famed spot of unique scenic interest. Tryly indeed, in this, "Heart of the Blue Ridge", is there a blending of the sublime and the picturesque -- the exquisite verdure of the Southern Appalachians. Towering precipices 2,000 feet high, rendered accessible by roads, bridges, trails and even stair-ways. Water-falls of greatest beauty. Broad River tumbling noisily hundreds of feet -- by the very side of matchless highways -- in its onward rush to the sea. The Bottomless Pools, -- those mysterious caverns that have been so baffling to all beholders. Weird and interesting caves, notably Bat Cave and Rumbling Cave. These and so many more, but feebly convey the charm and repletion of this wonderland. The Charlotte-Asheville Highway (via Hendersonville) a superb motor road, is the avenue of access, either by private or public service cars.
