| benn_hist_04 | Masons in Buncombe County: Charles Conrad "Cooney" Paul He was born October 8, 1871 in Charleston, S.C. Married Mary Elizabeth "Lizzy" White who was born December 16, 1874 in Hickory, N.C. C.C demitted from the Bamburg, S.C. Ornan Masonic lodge to the Mt. Hermon lodge in Asheville 1903. They owned Paul's Bakery which after operating at a number of other addresses in Asheville opened at 109 Broadway in 1916. Their marriage produced two sons and a daughter. They were divorced August 23, 1922. C.C. Paul died April 13, 1946 in the Jupiter community of Alexander, N.C. M.E. Paul died June 29, 1960 in Asheville, N.C.
