Three Asheville Citizen newspapers tell of Old Hickory parade in Asheville , surviving officers and veterans of NC , TN , SC involved in breaking the German Hindenburg Line marched annually after WWI. Includes personal photographs, postcards of Asheville flood, postcards of WWI damage to French towns and buildings as well as views of undamaged chateaus and villages, and postcards of various men from this area in national guard and army uniforms . Correspondence on some postcards, [ most from Leon Caberet, a lawyer friend from Otis's days in France .] |
