January 7, 1928 Mr. James G. K. McClure, Jr., 93 Roberts Street, Asheville, N.C. My dear Mr. McClure:- I am writing from Richmond and enclosing an item for The Farmers' Federation News, which it is hoped you may find of interest for publication. Before submitting anything dealing in more or less detailed advice to the former as to the handling of his wood lands, it occurs to me best to lead up to the subject by the generalizations of the accompanying article. Please pardon delay in getting this to you. We have been in continuous sessions here for two days and nights at important meetings of three Forestry organizations. Sincerely yours,
