online as we are able. The ledger contains imprints of the original
documents, created by impressing the original onto onion skin paper
using a chemical solution. Many of the sheets have either been
copied poorly, and have faded considerably over time. Because the
process was in-exact, many of the documents represented here are not
fully legible. The digital copy, however, revealed more of the image
than can be detected by viewing the original. This is not a complete
record of items in the Ledger. More items will be added as time allows.
Each Ledger contains approximately 1000 pages. |
