Biography |
Yelena Campbell grew up in Kazakhstan. With the political changes in the Soviet Union, her father was concerned about his business. Upon winning a lottery with the Green Cards, he moved the family to Asheville where they had family friends that were Russian Baptist. When her family immigrated to Asheville, they were grateful to find a Russian Orthodox church. Yelena met Jonah Campbell who had studied Russian in college. They were married in 2001. |
