converted to Russian Orthodoxy in the 1980's, leaving the Roman Catholic
Church. Onouphry was ordained into the priesthood in 2000 at the age
of 60 years. Fr. Onouphry works with St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox
Church outside of Asheville, NC. Father Onouphry discusses the history
of the Russian Orthodox Church, the description of icons and the traditions
of the Antiochian Church. |

Biography |
Fr. Onouphry grew up in the Roman Catholic Church, attending Catholic schools and serving as an altar boy. In the 1980s, he and his wife left the Catholic Church and became involved with the Russian Orthodox Church. Onouphry was ordained into the priesthood in his 60's, in 2000. |
