Description

Joseph Lichenfels begins the interview with an in-depth account of lineage. He discusses his mother and father being "very reform" despite their both being raised in the orthodox tradition and how he was educated prior to his barmitzvah. Mr. Lichenfels then discusses his father Gustav's history and how he came to settle in Asheville. A topic of interest about his journey hitchiking from Asheville along the East coast visiting relatives in Balitmore, New York, and finally Maine; by extension, he also talks about differences in racism and other world views in the North as opposed to South. He speaks extensively to how his career evolved.
