Biography

Colonel Paul Rockwell was born in 1889, descended from English immigrants that arrived in now Boston in 1630. In 1914 he volunteered for service in the French Foreign Legion. After the war he lived in France as a writer, returning to Asheville each summer.
He has been associated with civic and patriotic affairs in Asheville.
