ORAL HISTORY INTERVIEW AGREEMENT
(RELEASE FORM)

This agreement constitutes a release of audio-tapes and any and all rights therein to the Ramsey Library Special Collections at the University of North Carolina at Asheville.  The tapes, transcripts, and any accompanying materials and all rights therein will be the property of the Special Collections of the University of North Carolina at Asheville, and available for public use unless restrictions on use are specified below.

The Ramsey Library Special Collection's mission is to provide access to special materials in a controlled environment and to ensure that those materials are preserved for the users of the future and are made available to the users of today.  The audio-tapes and accompanying materials (photographs, papers or records, etc.) will be made available for historical and other academic research purposes.  While the tapes and materials will be available for public dissemination, they will be controlled according to any restrictions that may be placed on their use by the interviewee and/or interviewer.

We the undersigned have read the above and voluntarily offer the Ramsey Library Special Collections of the University of North Carolina at Asheville full use of the information contained on these tape recordings and in transcripts of these recordings.  In view of the scholarly value of this research material, we hereby assign all rights, title and interest pertaining to it to the University unless restrictions are specified below.  Unless restrictions are specified below, this agreement also includes the Ramsey Library's right to publish transcriptions and/or abstracts of these tapes and materials in electronic format on the Web.
