The site is database driven and is edited/updated online by the Blue Banner Online Editor using a login/password combination. The newspaper can be updated from any computer in the world with an internet connection, without manually editing the database.

The updating is done through ASP pages which use vbscript to connect to and manipulate information in the database. Javascript is used on the client for form/field validation.

The website displays newspaper articles, pictures, and events from the current issue as well as extensive search and archive capabilities. There is also a place for online submissions and comments by the general public.

The site will go live summer 2004 and will be fully populated and up and running by Fall 2004.
