Overview:
The McDowell County Rescue Squad has been an organization since 1959. The organization has 38 volunteer members expect for one full time member. To help promote McDowell County Rescue Squad and give member?s access to the squad information, they have decided to have a web page built. Also, until now, the tracking of the data was done manually, including monitoring rescue calls, members call ist and members educational classes. I estimated that they could possibly save up to 100 labor hours by me volunteering my time on the project. Creating a database that would facilitate tracking this data, and producing needed information from that database. I agreed to take on the project because one of my career goals is to learn how to develop a database. For which I can use existing database tools to help small businesses, not necessarily non-profits, gain the benefits of using databases

Process:
The software I plan to use in the creation of these web pages and database includes HTML, CSS, ASP, SQL, Java-Script, and 3-4 months to build web page and database and test system. The web page will be created to display information, create functional and url links, for this I plan to use HTML,CSS and Java-Script. The common database functions in the maintenance programs include add, delete, update, and edit support functions along with the ability to display select records by filtering and sorting the database, such as members login page, for these events I will usevb_script along with Microsoft Access.

Conclusion:
This application will be implemented in the following months of my graduation. I have learned a great deal about dealing with clients, making requirements, setting a schedule and learned how to adapt that schedule to work with the client.
