Grover Gosnell Construction is a business that needed a new way to advertise to customers.? They had no idea how to create a Web site that would be easily and readily accessible and showcase their work to potential clients.? I proposed a Web site that could be used to show potential customers examples of work that previously had been done.? In addition to the Web site, I proposed to construct a database of customer invoices, customers, and an employee timesheet. The company has filed the hard copies in file cabinets and boxes, which was taking up a lot of physical space.? With the database, Grover Gosnell Construction was able to keep the information they needed in one place.? Once the information is compiled over a period of time, searching for particular information will be simplified.? This will make searching through hard copies of paperwork obsolete.? The URL for the Web site is www.grovergosnellconstruction.com.
This project allowed me to work within a specific time frame and within the client?s time line.? I used Java-Script, HTML, CSS, Access, and SQL.? I was able to understand the importance of working well with clients and delivering exactly what the client was expecting.? Being unable to predict what the client would and would not like was one of the hardest parts of the assignment.? |
