| Description | Miscellaneous photographs of the University of
North Carolina . Includes both modern and vintage photographic materials
from the earlier institutions that were precursors to the university. Students,
buildings, historic scenes, faculty, staff, academic activities, sports, alumni
events, and other university related activity. Items are rough-sorted into
broad categories by alphabetical arrangement. Identification of individual
items is subject to revision and addition. Identification and corrections
are welcomed.
Photographs are arranged alphabetically according to broad topic or by last name of individual. When it is possible to identify the date of the photograph, this information has been added, otherwise, date is approximate based on visual evidence. To view a specific alphabetical listing, please click on the letter associated with the folder. University Archives holds many photographic images not yet cataloged. If you wish to search these uncataloged materials, you must seek the permission of the Special Collections Coordinator and arrange a time to view the material on the second floor of D.H.
