Description Records created and collected by the first administrative dean of  Biltmore Schools (later founded as the Buncombe County Junior College). The collection contains correspondence related to matters of personal concern to Conley and collected materials related to his administration of the Dean’s office.  In 1930 the Buncombe County Junior College merged with the College of the City of Asheville and the name changed to Biltmore Junior College.

Biography Sinclair B. Conley was named dean of men in 1927, when the Buncombe County Junior College first opened its doors.  He was with the college when it was renamed Biltmore Junior College in 1930 and remained dean of men until 1932.
