- Abstract
- The East Riverside Photographs Collection contains over 230 photographs, documents, and postcards donated by individuals and families associated with the East Riverside urban redevelopment project of Asheville, North Carolina. Many are turn of the century and from notable Asheville, Baltimore, MD, and other city photographic studios. The relationship of photographs to one another is unclear, as most of the photographs were abandoned materials or donated materials, gathered at the time the East Riverside community was undergoing redevelopment . The majority of the images are unidentified and represent many families in the African American community. Any assistance in identification would be appreciated.
