State of North Carolina in the Probate Court Henderson County:

Be it remembered that on this the 26th Day of March AD 1875 personally appeared before me the undersigned Judge of Probate in and for said county S.[M.?] King and Emily King his wife, the persons described in and who signed the annexed deed, and acknowledged the due execution thereof by them as their act and deed, And thereupon the said Emily King being by me favorably examined separate and [apart?] from her said husband [unclear] her free consent in the execution thereof, she doth declare in such her examination that she executed the same freely of her own will and accord and without any force fear or undue influence of the said husband or any other person, and did still voluntarily assent thereto.

Therefore let the said deed, and this certificate be Registered.
