THIS DEED Made this ___ day of _____, in the year of our Lord One Thousand, Nine Hundred and ____, between __________ and __________, of the County of _____, and State of __________, of the first part, and J.M. Brown of the County of _____ and State of __________, of the second part:
       WITNESSETH, that the said parties of the first part, for and in consideration of the sum of five thousand, seven hundred and fifty six and 62/100 Dollars in hand paid by said party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath Given, Granted, Bargained, Sold, Conveyed and Confirmed and by these presents do Give, Grant, Bargain, Sell, Convey and Confirm unto the said arty of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, all the following described piece or parcel of land lying and being in the Counties of McDowell and Rutherford and State of North Carolina, known and designated as follows:
       (Reserving however one half interest in all the timber now growing on the following described piece of land). It being part of Patents 1007 and 1055 on the waters of Cove and Cedar Creeks, joining the land of J.D. Davis, D. Frasure, O.C. Williams, Joe Pridmore, A.B. Ledbetter, J.W. Morgan, J.L. Noblett, E.C. Harris and others. Begins at a large black oak on top of Hickory Nut mountain in patent-line and old Burke County line marked M.B. and E.H and at a point - north 20 east 12 poles from the lowest-point in Englund's Gap and runs South 86 East 158 poles with old county and patent line to a stone on East bank of Hollow D. and L. Davis corner then with their line south 4 west 213 poles, crossing creek to a stone on high ridge their corner then with their line north 77 East 26 poles to a stone their corner about 6 poles south of Ledbetters Corner then with M.C. Davis line South 18 East 48 poles to a white oak his beginning corner, then with his line North 78 East 120 poles crossing creek to a stone his corner on point of ridge.
       To have and to hold the same, with the appurtenances thereto belonging to the said __________ the part of the second part, heirs and assigns forever. And the said part_ of the first part, for the consideration aforesaid, do hereby covenant and agree to warrant and defend the premises aforesaid, to the part_ of the second part_ heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, against the claim and entry of all persons whatsoever, and_ do_ further covenant that _____ seized of the premesis in fee simple and ha_ power to make and convey such estate by this deed and ha_ done the same by these presents to the said ______, part_ of the second part.

BE IT KNOWN, that on this the ___ day of ______, A.D. 190), Personally came before me ___________, the signer___ and sealer___ of the foregoing Deed, and acknowledged the same to be ___ own free act and deed. And _______________, wife of the said __________, upon examination by me, separate and apart from her husband, acknowledged that she executed the same freely and of her own accord, for the purpose and intent therein expressed, and without any fear or compulsion from any one, and that she doth still voluntarily assent thereto. Therefore let this Deed with this certificate be recorded. _______________
