George E. Ladshaw

Relationship to the Speculation Lands: 
Ladshaw was involved with the survey of the Green River basin as requested by Willet Bronson and C.B. Justice with the possibility of building a dam and several hydraulic power plants throughout the river region .  His company was based out of Spartanburg, South Carolina under the name of Ladshaw & Ladshaw, Civil and Hydraulic Engineers. He is also credited with publishing several books pertaining to dam engineering and building. His brother was[?] his business partner who later served in with U.S. Army engineers during the first World War.
