Letter from F. Bronson, Agent, to T.B. Justice, Rutherfordton,
North Carolina dated April 24, 1855. The letter is in response to an
inquiry from T.B. Justice and authorizes the leasing and mining of
the Davis Mine in Union County. The letter states that the Lease
conditions are for three years and that the tenant must pay for
equipment and pay one-eighth of the gross proceeds.

[?] proposes to take the 2 Davis mine tracts
& put up machinery in six months [in a ?] lease for 5 years & pay as
rent 1/10 of the gross proceeds provided that if a sale is made
during the term of [the?] lease he is to be paid a fair price for
his machinery & paid back the rent or [toll?] of the year last
[passed?] also the [Hoscye?] mine tract [is?] to put up Machinery in
12 months he wrote this to F. Bronson 10th May 1855-----
