Throop, Lieutenant Governor and acting as Governor of the State of New York, dated April 15, 1830; and certified and signed by Smith Thompson, Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, May 26, 1828. Document was required for matters related to Item 23/125 in this Section, including a Deed for land in Buncombe, Rutherford, and Mecklenburg Counties.

Troop Lieutenant Governor of the state of New York, acting as Governor of the said state It is hereby certified that Ogden Edwards whose name is subscribed to the foregoing Certificate is and was at the date thereof one of the circuit Judges of this state.  duly commissioned[?] and sworn and that full faith and credit may and ought to be given to his official acts.---- 

              In testimony whereof  I have caused the great seal of the said state to be hereunto affixed Witness my hand at the City of Albany the fifth       day, of April in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and thirty
