This Indenture made this 10th day of May AD 1856 between Michael
Osborne of the County of Union & State of North Carolina of the our
part deed J J Hoyt & John Ward of the city of New York of the other
part witness its that whereas by a decree of the court of Equity for
the County of Union & state of North Carolina. The afore said
Michael Osborn was authorized empowered and directed to execute and
deliver to the said J J Hoyt & John Ward on deed of bargain & sale
to the aforesaid J J Hoyt and John Ward Trustees & c for ly[?] and
the heirs of Alexander Osborne deceased, all their claim title and
interest in or certain tract of land lying in the county of Union
being all that tract of land known as Patent 1323-except a tract of
two hundred acres subdivided from the same[?] and conveyed by deed
of bargain & sale from the said J J Hoyt to the said Michael
Osborne. bearing[?] date the eighteenth day of December AD 1856[.]
Now therefore in consideration of the purchase[?], and for the
further considerations of the sum of one dollar to him in hand paid
the receipt when of is heir acknowledged the said Michael Osborne
hath bargained and sold and by these presents[?] do to bargain and
sell unto the said J J Hoyt and John Ward trustees & c all their
