of Declaration of Joshua Forman, Rutherford County, April 3, 1841,
registered by the Court May 9, 1841. In this document Joshua Forman
declares that he acts as the agent for Bronson, Hoyt and others.
This matter concern a law suit against Augustus Sacket for non
payment of the mortgages assigned to Bronson et al as decreed in
their favor by the Court of Equity. According to the document, the
land was conveyed in 1819 and Augustus Sacket gave the Clerk of the
Court three promissory notes for $ 3,847 payable twelve months
later, and that through the inadvertence of the Court Clerk,
Augustus Sacket did not receive the Promissory Notes after paying
the amounts due. Document is signed by Joshua Forman.

and satisfying the notes in question and that it was through
inadvertency, alone, that he did not require the clerk & master
Thomas [Deives?] Esqr to surrender to him the notes when he (this
deponent) gave him the receipts, or discharges of Bronson Hoyt &
others for the amount due from this deponent by the purchased above
mentioned.
This Deponent therefore prays the court to order a surrender of the
notes to him, he having paid & satisfied them n the manner set forth
in their affidavit.
