The materials have been received sporadically without any original order, and have been arranged into broad categories. Oversized materials have been boxed together, and books have been incorporated into the Special Collections holdings and arranged by LC call number.

Scope and Contents
A collection of materials donated by local public historian Sharon Fahrer. The materials cover Asheville businesses and people, including notes related to "The Family Store" project by Fahrer and Jan Schochet, with an emphasis on the Jewish heritage of Asheville. Also included are two calendars from Germany, and a book documenting Austria in the 1930s. Although listed in this finding aid, books donated by Sharon Fahrer are shelved in the Special Collections reading room, and are not archived with the other materials in this collection.
