UNC Asheville Student Papers & Projects
A Selective List of Student
Research
Papers
Students in many departments must create Senior Papers or Capstone Projects as part of their degree requirement in the field of study. These papers and projects are prepared on a variety of topics, in the format(s) required by the department. This listing also includes special class projects.
Authors retain copyright of their work but grant UNC Asheville license to archive the papers and projects, and, subject to any stated conditions, make the work accessible.
Papers prior to 2013/2014 were generally bound, and are are available for research in the Special Collection reading room. Some papers are also available for online viewing, but web-publication and/or copying of bound papers is dependent on the author's permission. Since 2014, papers have been received electronically and are availalble via NC Docks, UNC Asheville's Institutional Repository.
Some projects are submitted as online multimedia digital projects, and these are available via NC Docks and the library YouTube site,
Students wishing to release their work for web-publication and/or for copying will therefore need to sign and date a RELEASE AGREEMENT . Students can obtain specific submission guidelines from the appropriate department, or call Special Collections to check on the preferred format, as this is subject to change over time. Students should check with their individual academic departments for manuscript submission requirements.
