Scope and Contents
The Highland Brewing Company Collection (HBC) contains documents and articles from Highland Brewing Company. Founded in 1994, HBC is the oldest continuously operating brewery in Asheville and is considered the seminal brewery that paved the way for Asheville's craft brewing in the early 21st century. The strength of the collection is from the extensive documentation that Oscar Wong and Leah Wong Ashburn collected of magazine and newspaper articles written about HBC from its founding days, many articles from smaller and hard to find publications.
