Historical Note
The Pack Plaza redevelopment plan included the substantial rehabilitation of buildings facing onto Pack Square for office and retail use, making available retail space on Eagle Street for minority businesses, constructing a parking deck, providing a museum and open space, and making available a facility that could become a Cultural/Performing Arts center. In meeting its aims, the project would upgrade sub-standard buildings, eliminate blight, and provide public improvements and facilities.
