2.1 College Board / Board of Trustees, 1934-2015

The management of Biltmore College and Asheville-Biltmore College was effectively the responsibility of a college board comprised of local business and civic leaders.Since the creation of the University of North Carolina Asheville in 1969, the Board of Trustees has served as advisors to the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina (System) on matters pertaining to the UNCA campus. The Board also advises the Chancellor on the management and development of UNCA.This archive holds historically significant official papers of of the college boards of Biltmore College and Asheville-Biltmore College, and the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina Asheville.
