Description Henry (b.1926) and Elaine Meyers were both prominent members of the UNCA community. Henry lectured at UNCA, and other schools, on Jewish history and literature, while Elaine worked in the Drama department for many years, an association reflected in the UNCA Theater playbills included in the collection.. Additionally Henry was chair of the Advisory Council of the UNCA Center for Jewish Studies. Both were involved in the Jewish community of Asheville and the collection includes various correspondences with Jewish congregations and community organizations within the area, as well as original writings of both Henry and Elaine.

However the collection centers on  Henry's deep involvement with the Anti-Defamation League of Asheville and contains a nineteen-year span of Anti-Defamation League correspondence and documents, as well as  documents and propaganda originating from various anti-Semitic and white supremacist groups.

Included in the donation were photographs taken at the January 1998, Ku Klux Klan rally in Memphis, Tennessee that have been collected as P2008.09.01
